TULSA, Okla. – Four University of Miami Hurricanes were in qualifier action Tuesday at the 2015 Saint Francis Health System ITA Men’s All-American Championships held in Tulsa, Okla.

In qualifying singles, Christian Langmo defeated No. 95 Nick Bybel from Bucknell in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2. Langmo now moves into the third and final round of qualifying, facing Constantin Schmitz of Tulane on Wednesday. Langmo has now defeated a pair of top 100 players in this event, taking down No. 82 Ricardo Jorge of Mississippi in the first round and No. 95 Bybel in the second round.

“Christian played another complete match today,” assistant coach Mark Dickson said. “He was poised and able to dictate play from start to finish. He is exciting to watch and his game is developing well in this highly competitive environment.”

Jesse Flores paired up with Langmo in doubles to defeat Chase Gordon and Daniel Santos from host Tulsa, 6-3, 6-3, in the Round of 128. Flores and Langmo came up short, 6-4, 6-3, to the second-seeded No. 29 Hayden Sabatka / Bart Van Leijsen (New Mexico) in the Round of 64.

After a bye in the first round, Piotr Lomacki and Max Andrews withdrew from their second-round match against Ben Donovan and Corey Pang of Cal Poly.

Qualifying draws continue on Wednesday, then main draw contests get underway on Oct. 8. The singles and doubles finals are scheduled for Oct. 12. Sophomore No. 45 Piotr Lomacki will compete in the main draw singles event beginning Thursday.
