Four @HurricaneTennis Doubles Pairs Ranked

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The ITA released its updated national rankings Tuesday and the University of Miami is one of three schools in the nation with four ranked women’s doubles pairs.

As they have been all year, senior Lina Lileikite and junior Stephanie Wagner check in among the top 10 duos in the country, holding the No. 8 position.

Senior Monique Albuquerque and junior Clementina Riobueno are once again in the top 40, this time at No. 36 on the list. Lileikite comes in a second time on the list as well, pairing with freshman Wendy Zhang at No. 63, after the two just recently began playing together.

Zhang is ranked twice as well, as she is also No. 88 in the national rankings along with fellow freshman Sinead Lohan.

Miami (12-5, 8-2 ACC), ranked No. 17 in the country as a team, joins No. 10 Texas A&M and No. 11 Alabama on the list of schools with a quartet of ranked doubles pairs.

Five Hurricanes are featured on the ITA’s singles list, as has been the case the entire 2015 season. Wagner is the highest of the group at No. 11 in the country.

Lohan moved up in the rankings for the fourth straight week and is now No. 32, while Riobueno comes in at No. 67, followed by Zhang at No. 107, and then Lileikite, who moved up 10 spots, at No. 115.

Miami has been ranked in the top 20 every week this year and all but one of its losses are to teams ranked in the top seven. The Hurricanes, who have four wins against the top 25, are one of five ACC schools on the list, tied for the second most of any conference.

Paige Yaroshuk-Tews’ team will have its final regular season road swing this weekend when it heads to both Notre Dame and Louisville. Miami takes on the 31st-ranked Fighting Irish Friday, April10 at 3:30 p.m. and then meets the Cardinals Sunday, April 12 at 11:00 a.m.
