@HurricaneTennis Travels to Ga. Tech, Baylor
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – One of four teams undefeated in ACC play, the No. 14 University of Miami women’s tennis team will hit the road for their fifth conference match of the season Sunday.
Miami (8-2, 4-0 ACC) faces No. 51 Georgia Tech at 10:30 a.m. in Atlanta. The Yellow Jackets enter at 5-4 (2-1 ACC) on the season.
Georgia Tech features a trio of ranked doubles teams, two including the same player. Kendal Woodard and Paige Hourigan lead the way at No. 35, followed by Alexa Anton-Ohlmeyer and Alexis Prokopuik at No. 50. Prokopuik also holds the No. 61 spot on the ITA’s list, along with Rasheeda McAdoo.
In addition, the Yellow Jackets have two players nationally ranked in singles, with Hourigan at No. 64 and Johnnise Renaud at No. 92.

After facing Georgia Tech Sunday, Miami will have a day off and then will play its final regular season nonconference match of the spring. The Hurricanes are scheduled to meet eighth-ranked Baylor Tuesday, March 17 at 1:00 p.m. in Waco, Texas.
Baylor (13-3, 1-0 Big 12) will be the fifth top 15 team that Miami faces this season, with the Hurricanes splitting the prior four matches.
The Bears feature a quartet of ranked singles players. Ema Burgic is the highest ranked player on the Baylor roster, checking in at No. 22 in the country. Blair Shankle is No. 31, followed by Kiah Generette at No. 75 and Rachel James-Baker at No. 82.
Burgic and Shankle also team together to form the ITA’s 10th-ranked doubles pair in the nation.

The Hurricanes have won five matches in a row by a total margin of 32-3, including 26-2 in ACC competition. Miami has five players ranked nationally in singles, including reigning ACC Player of the Week Stephanie Wagner. The junior is ranked seventh overall.
Freshman Sinead Lohan holds the No. 37 spot and junior Clementina Riobueno, last week’s ACC Player of the Week, is No. 63 on the list. Senior Lina Lileikite checks in at No. 108 and she is followed by freshman Wendy Zhang at No. 112.
In doubles, Miami boasts two of the top 20 duos in the country. Wagner and Lileikite form the ITA’s eighth-ranked pair, while Riobueno and senior Monique Albuquerque are No. 19.
