Miami Will Face Stanford Duo in Round of 16

ATHENS, Ga. – Miami’s 8th-ranked doubles team of Monique Albuquerque and Clementina Riobueno will play 10th-ranked Kristie Ahn and Carol Zhao of Stanford in the NCAA Doubles Round of 16 on Friday at 3 p.m., it was announced late Thursday night.

Zhao and Ahn defeated Louisville’s No. 21 Julia Fellerhoff and Rebecca Shine in three sets this afternoon to advance, while Albuquerque and Riobueno rolled past Georgia’s No. 19 Kate Fuller and Silvia Garcia.

On the season, Stanford’s top doubles pair went 28-5 with seven wins against nationally ranked opponents.
