Bills Select Henderson in Seventh Round
NEW YORK – Miami Hurricanes offensive tackle Seantrel Henderson was selected with the 237th overall pick by the Buffalo Bills on the final day of the 2014 NFL Draft. Henderson was the third Miami Hurricane taken in the 2014 NFL Draft, joining Brandon Linder (3rd round – Jacksonville) and Pat O’Donnell (6th round – Chicago).
The St. Paul, Minn., native is the ninth Miami Hurricane to be drafted by the Buffalo Bills and the first since both Roscoe Parrish and Kevin Everett went to the Bills in 2005.
Henderson, the 2009 USA TODAY High School Player of the Year and the nation’s No. 1 recruit out of high school, was a third-team All-ACC selection in 2013, playing in 12 games with eight starts at right tackle. He was one of three Hurricanes invited to the 2014 Senior Bowl.
As a junior in 2012, he played in 11 games with seven starts en route to earning All-ACC honorable mention. He was a FWAA Freshman All-American in 2010 after starting nine of 12 games.
