MTennis Returns Home to Face Troy Wednesday

Coming off of a win against No. 52 Georgia Tech, the University of Miami men’s tennis team returns to the Neil Schiff Tennis Center on Wednesday, March 12 to face Troy University at 2 p.m.

The Canes are 7-4 overall this season with a 1-1 mark in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Diego Soto leads UM individually with his 9-2 overall record, with Omar Aly and William Albanese both close behind with eight wins apiece. Aly is a perfect 2-0 in ACC play.

In doubles, Gabriel Flores has paired with Soto to total six wins, while Aly and Wilfredo Gonzalez are 3-2 and Albanese and Henrique Tsukamoto have a 3-6 overall record.

Troy University enters the Wednesday matchup after three matches in the state of Florida. The Trojans lost at Florida Gulf Coast on March 9, then will face FAU and Northern Illinois on Monday in Boca Raton before traveling to Coral Gables. Troy is 1-9 this season, as of March 9.
