Men's Tennis to Host Presbyterian and Xavier
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The men’s tennis team will host a doubleheader Tuesday March 4 against No. 75 Presbyterian College at 10 a.m. and Xavier University at 4 p.m. at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
The Canes hold a 4-3 season record after a hard fought win against UNF last Saturday. UNF secured the doubles point early in the day but Miami turned it around in the singles matches, winning four singles matches to secure the victory over the Ospreys. The Canes are looking to keep up the intensity in their doubleheader on Tuesday.
Senior Diego Soto and junior Henrique Tsukamoto both remain the singles record leaders on the team, at 6-1. Senior Omar Aly and sophomore William Albanese have singles records of 6-2. Senior duo Gabriel Flores and Diego Soto hold the best doubles record of 4-3.
No. 75 Presbyterian College will play Nicholls State Saturday March 1 before competing against the Hurricanes in Coral Gables. The Blue Hoses currently hold a season record of 9-2. The Xavier Musketeers are coming to Coral Gables after a loss against Michigan State and hold a season record of 7-6.
