#MindGames (Episode 5): "The ISO Block"

What’s it like to go inside the mind of a Miami Hurricane? For 60 days, players and coaches will provide insight into proper techniques, analyzing plays and much more as part of the new web series, “Mind Games”.

Senior fullback Maurice Hagens discusses what goes into making one of the most difficult blocks in football, the ISO block. Hagens played in all 12 games in 2012 at fullback, making four starts. He recorded one rush for 3 yards and five catches for 25 yards.

The ground-breaking series will provide fans a unique look as current Hurricanes such as Duke Johnson, Stephen Morris, Anthony Chickillo and Denzel Perryman break down such elements as proper tackling, red zone offense and defense and stiff-arm blocks. A new video will be debut each day at 5:55 p.m. – in honor of the program’s five national titles.

“Mind Games” will feature 60 unique episodes on HFBCA.com, a site dedicated to “coaches coaching coaches”. HFBCA is the No. 1 source for football coaches of all ages that are passionate about learning, sharing, teaching improving their football intelligence.

The 2013 Al Golden Football Camps feature five one-day camp sessions, beginning Sunday, June 2. Open to all entrants grades 6-12, participants can register online at www.algolden.com.
