Hurricane Club Surpasses 1,000 New Members
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – One month after exceeded its original new member goal, the Hurricane Club has crossed the 1,000 new-member threshold for 2013. With its record numbers thus far, the Hurricane Club is on pace to exceed more than 6,000 active members in 2013, which will set an all-time record for UM Athletic annual support.
“Reaching 1,000 new members is a great accomplishment for our program,” Associate AD for Development Jesse Marks said. “We need to continue to grow our membership base and expand our reach nationwide.”
Originally a 500 new-member goal, Marks said the Hurricane Club increased its new-member goal to 750 in April before increasing it once more after continuing record numbers. The Hurricane Club’s three-year active membership goal is 7,500.
