I was raised in a lot of different cities: Atlanta, Lancaster, New Orleans, North Florida, and South Florida.
I started playing tennis when I was 12. I played baseball up until that point.
My favorite part about Miami is the fact that my dad and I were big time Miami fans when I was growing up so when I was presented with the opportunity to play here, I took advantage of it.
To be a Miami Hurricane means to work hard on and off the court and try to be a pillar of the community.
The oddest nickname I’ve ever had is Rip City. I was playing a tournament in Trinidad and the Australian guys I was playing with gave me that name.
Right now I’m listening to classic rock.
Winning a game is tough. The guy on the other side of the net wants it just as bad as you do. It’s all about who wants it more.
My favorite current UM athlete is my teammate Omar Aly. I love how hard he works off and on the court. My all-time favorite would be Todd Widom, he was on the tennis team years ago.
One thing everybody should know about Miami tennis is we’re the hardest working team at the University. We take everything we do seriously.
The most influential person in my life is my father. He raised me to be the person I am today.
My teammate that would win Dancing with the Stars is Diego Soto. He’s always dancing. But Diego Soto is the most outgoing.
