I was raised at a high standard. My parents pushed me but not to an insane amount. They were reasonable but also made sure to make it fun.

I started playing tennis when I was seven at a summer camp that was close to my house. My brother got done with baseball, I got done with soccer, and my mom didn’t like either of those so she threw us in tennis.

My favorite part of Miami is the city for sure. I came to Miami because I like the culture and the weather. I like getting off campus every once in a while and experiencing the city.

To be a Miami Hurricane means the world to me. I really like being a Hurricane. There is definitely a certain amount of pride and uniqueness that comes from being a Hurricane that everyone respects around the country.

The oddest nickname I’ve ever had is Jacky Moon. I had a coach call me Jacky Moon from a Will Ferrell movie.

Right now I’m listening to I listen to a lot of Pandora on my phone. I listen to Kid Cudi. I’m also listening to Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd.

Winning a game is exciting. Everyone likes winning and that’s what we’re all here for, to win. It means a lot to get a win in college tennis.

My favorite current UM athlete is Stephen Morris. He’s a good guy, I’ve talked to him once or twice and I like watching him play.

One thing everybody should know about Miami tennis is that we’re always going to fight on the court and it’s fun to come out and watch because it’s always going to be a good match whether we’re playing the No. 1 team in the country or someone who isn’t ranked as high. We are always fighting.

The most influential person in my life is my brother. He is definitely a big influence. He holds a standard that I definitely try to achieve everyday.

My teammate that would win Dancing with the Stars is Gabriel Flores hands down not even a question.

I got into tennis when my brother and I got done with our other sports. We both went to a summer tennis camp.
In 10 years, hopefully I’ll be still in Miami; I really like the city. I want to live here for sure and hopefully travel and play on some professional tournaments.

Coach Rincon is the man. He is a really good guy always looking out for you. He’s kind of the father figure on the team.

After a stressful day of training I like to chill. I’m a movie watcher so I just hang out with some friends and put on a good movie.

I love eating; I’m a huge food guy. I eat everything and anything. Hamburgers are definitely my favorite.

I know that everybody on the team is a good guy and has my back when I need it. They are all funny in their own way, and they are all good guys and mean well and going to work hard on the court.

My team is a lot of fun. They are good guys and we always have a good time win or lose.

My pet peeve is people who are late. It’s frustrating to me especially in class, that really gets under my skin.

Tennis has helped me meet a lot of different people and see a lot of things I wouldn’t have unless I played the sport.

If I could have one superpower it would be fly. Completely selfish I have no motives I’m not going to save anyone I just want to fly.

Odessa, Fla., is the suburbs of Tampa. It’s a nice place to live.

If I could be any cartoon character it would be Bugs Bunny. He’s hilarious, witty clever. He has always been my favorite.

If I was trapped on a desert island and could only eat one food for the rest of my life, it would be mangoes. Mangoes are so good. What a weird answer but I like mangoes.

The U is a great place. I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. I wish I could stay here forever.
