Hurricane Club #BuildingChampions Spring Tour
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The 2013 Hurricane Club #BuildingChampions Spring Tour will visit five Florida cities and New York City during the months of April and May. Head football coach Al Golden will be in attendance for all six tour locations.
A day after the Canes play their second spring scrimmage, the Hurricane Club will open its 2013 #BuildingChampions Spring Tour with the Southwest Florida Golf Classic and Luncheon on Saturday, April 6 at Treviso Bay Golf Course in Naples.
The tour’s second stop will be a luncheon Friday, April 26 at City Fish Market in Boca Raton. Registration starts at 11 a.m., followed by the luncheon and program at 11:30 a.m. Pre-RSVP Hurricane Club members are $50 each and non-Hurricane Club members are $75.
The Hurricane Club’s next three #BuildingChampions stops are May 8-10 in Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville. The May 8 event in Tampa will be held at Brickhouse Tavern & Tap, while the Orlando event will be held Thursday, May 9 at Panama Jack. The Prime Osborn Convention Center will be the site of the May 10 dinner in Jacksonville.
The 2013 Hurricane Club #BuildingChampions Spring Tour concludes with a reception Thursday, May 16 at Brother Jimmy’s in New York City.
National Coach of the Year Jim Larrañaga will appear May 8 in Tampa and May 9 in Orlando, while women’s basketball head coach Katie Meier is scheduled to appear May 8 in Tampa. Olympic track coach Amy Deem will be in New York City.
Chicago will be the site of an additional national fundraising event. The University of Miami Alumni Club of Chicago and Hurricane Club will co-host the annual Chicago Coaches Dinner on Thursday, May 23 at the Westin River North in Chicago.
