MTennis Moves Up Four Spots in Latest ITA Poll
Coral Gables, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s tennis team ascended in the latest ITA poll for the second time this spring season.
A week after splitting a pair of dual matches in the ITA Kickoff Weekend event, the Hurricanes have jumped up four spots from the No. 64 ranked team in the nation to No. 60.
UM advanced to the championship round of the ITA Kickoff Weekend tournament after beating then-No. 71 Louisiana-Lafayette, 4-3, but fell to No. 4 Ohio State, 7-0, in the championship match.
The Canes are back in Coral Gables this week to prepare for their home debut against UCF on Friday, Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center. Miami is currently 2-2 on the season.
