Hurricanes Women's Basketball to Hold Post-Season Banquet April 2

CORAL GABLES – Fans of the University of Miami women’s basketball team are invited to join the team’s players, staff and supporters at Monty’s in Coconut Grove for a post-season banquet, Thursday, April 2.
The evening’s festivities will begin with the reception at 6:30 p.m. Dinner and awards will begin at approximately 7 p.m. For those that would like to attend, tickets are on sale for $45 each. To RSVP, please call the Hurricane Club by Monday, March 30 at 305-284-6699.
Miami seniors LaToya Cunningham, Latoya Drake and Lamese James will be on hand along with rest of the Hurricanes and head coach Katie Meier.
The 2008-09 Hurricanes, playing in the ACC, the toughest conference in the NCAA, ended the season with a 13-17 record, a four-game improvement over the previous season. Miami played a total of 16 games this season against team that advanced to the post season, including 10 teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament. Both Duke and Maryland earned No. 1 seeds this year.
