Miami Women’s Basketball Set to Compete in Inaugural Scripps Sports Women’s Basketball Showcase

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s basketball team will compete in the inaugural Scripps Sports Women’s Basketball Showcase on Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix, Ariz.

The Hurricanes will square off against The University of Southern California at 9:30 p.m. ET in the second game of a nationally televised doubleheader on ION. The tournament will also feature the defending national champion, UCLA, who will face Duke in the opening contest at 7 p.m. ET.

Presented through a partnership between Position Sports and The E.W. Scripps Company, the inaugural showcase will feature four of the nation’s premier women’s basketball programs. Both games will air nationally on ION, Scripps’ national sports and entertainment network.

Tickets for the doubleheader will go on sale Thursday, Aug. 20 at 1 p.m. ET, with one ticket providing admission to both contests.
