Hurricanes Top 3 Performers of the Week

Jack McClinton, senior, Men’s Basketball

McClinton recorded a season-high 32 points in Miami’s blowout of No. 6/7 Wake Forest, 79-52. He was 6-10 from 3-point range (60%) and shot 11-19 overall (58%) as well as led the team in steals with 3. His season-high included 14 straight points late in the second half. It was his first 30-point game this season and fifth of his career as a Hurricane.

 

Dana Hatic, freshman, Swimming

In last Saturdays’ dual meet at Florida International University, Hatic collected 3 first place finishes in the 200 IM (2:13.22), 100 breaststroke (1:06.89), and the 200 Medley Relay (1:48.77), where she was the second leg. She helped Miami to 22 top-3 times vs. FIU en route to the win. Hatic and the rest of the UM Swim team will compete at the ACC Championships, February 18-21 at the University of Maryland.

 

Ashley Sours, junior, Women’s Basketball

In the Hurricanes 83-72 win over SIU-Edwardsville this past Wednesday, Sours scored a career-high 16 points on 7-10 shooting (70%) in just 13 minutes of play. Her 16 points led the team and also had a team high in blocks with 4.
