Miami's Rosenfeld and Simon Advance in Doubles Competition

Tulsa, Okla. – The University of Miami doubles tandem of David Rosenfeld and David Simon won two matches on Monday to advance in the qualifying round of the D’Novo/ITA Men’s All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla.
The duo is one match away from earning a berth into the main draw of the All-American Championships slated to begin on Thursday.
Rosenfeld and Simon earned a hard-fought 9-8 (4) decision over Stanford’s 12th-seeded Bradley Kahn and Richard Wire in first round competition today and then went on to win their second round match, 9-7, over New Mexico’s Miles Bugby and Johnny Parkes.
Rosenfeld (2-3) was also victorious in consolation singles play, downing host Tulsa’s Rusty Turpin, 6-0, 6-4.
Simon (2-3) dropped his consolation singles match, 7-5, 6-2, to Michigan’s Mike Sroczynski, while sophomore Carl Sundberg (0-2) fell in a tight match to Nebraska’s Colin Paar, 6-1, 4-6, 10-8.
