Miami-USF Soccer Match Rescheduled

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The date of the 2007 University of Miami vs. University of South Florida women’s soccer match has been pushed back a day, announced head Hurricanes soccer coach Tricia Taliaferro.

The in-state rivals will meet on Friday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. at Cobb Stadium, on the campus of the University of Miami. The Hurricanes hold a 4-0-0 all-time record over the Bulls, and most recently defeated USF, 1-0, on Sept. 15, 2006. Miami has outscored USF, 10-2, over the four-match series.

The Hurricanes welcome back 12 letterwinners from the 2006 squad, as well as a highly-touted class of newcomers ranked 21st in the nation by Soccer Buzz.

Miami opens the 2007 season with a pair of games in Oxford, Miss., including the August 31 opener versus Ole Miss.
