Women's Tennis Wrap up Pre-Qualifying Round of All American Championships

Pasadena, Calif. – The University of Miami women’s tennis wrapped up their pre qualifying round of the 2006 Riviera/ITA Women’s All American Championships.

Freshman Laura Vallverdu won the third round pre qualifying singles Sunday morning. She defeated Christian Flower of Georgia Tech 6-2, 6-1. Vallverdu will play in the first round qualifying singles Tuesday, October 3.

In doubles, Audrey Banada and Romy Farah have advanced to the first round of qualifying doubles after defeating Caroline Bailly and Maria Miziouk of Nevada 9-7. The first round qualifying draw will begin Tuesday, October 3.

Audrey Banada will participate in the singles qualifying draw Tuesday, October 3rd.
