CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The 30th-ranked University of Miami men’s tennis team heads to Houston, Texas this weekend to square-off with No. 22 Oklahoma State Saturday at 12 noon (CST) and No. 40 Rice at 12 noon (CST) Sunday.

The Hurricanes (2-1, 1-0 ACC) opened the season with back-to-back wins over FAU and then-No. 11 Florida State before suffering their first loss of the season at the hands of No. 1 Florida last Friday in Coral Gables.

UM’s lineup includes two nationally ranked players in 25th-ranked junior Luigi D’Agord and 87th-ranked junior Josh Cohen.

At 3-0 from the No. 4 spot, senior Tim Krebs has yet to lose a singles match in dual play.

Oklahoma State (1-0) boasts the nation’s No. 27 player in Daniel Byrnes. Earlier this season, Byrnes knocked off teammate Tomas Bohunicky to become the first unseeded player in the region’s history to win the Wilson/ITA Men’s Central Region Championship.

Rice’s (4-1) roster includes one nationally ranked player in No. 37 Robert Searle, who is the defending Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year.

Saturday’s match with OSU will mark the first meeting between the Hurricanes and Cowboys. Sunday’s meeting with Rice will be the sixth meeting between the Owls and UM, who has won each of the previous five matches.
