Miami Host Hurricane Invitational This Weekend

CORAL GABLES, <?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>Fla.– The 39th ranked University of Miami men’s tennis team opens its season at the Hurricane Invitational Tournament that will take place Saturday, Jan. 14 through Monday, Jan. 16 at the NeilSchiffTennisCenter. No. 8 Duke, No. 22 Texas and No. 48 Michigan are slated to compete.
The three-day tournament will be conducted in a hidden dual format where no team score is allotted and results only count for individual records.
Miami will play at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday and 2:00 p.m. on Monday beginning with doubles and immediately followed by singles competition. The Hurricanes open the tournament against Texas. On Sunday they will go against Michigan before facing ACC rival Duke Monday.
