UM Women's Tennis Set for UNC-Kitty Harrison Invitational

CORAL GABLES, <?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>Fla. – The University of Miami women’s tennis team will take part in the second annual UNC-Kitty Harrison Invitational Friday, Nov. 4 through Sunday, Nov. 6. The tournament, which will be held at North Carolina’s Cone-KenfieldTennisCenter, will feature 11 teams.<?xml:namespace prefix=”o” ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”?>
Miami will compete against Atlantic Coast Conference foes North Carolina, Duke, Virginia, Virginia Tech and WakeForest, as well as non-conference teams EastTennesseeState, Furman, Marshall, Minnesota and Winthrop.
The tournament will be conducted in a hidden-dual format with two teams competing in each dual match in either singles or doubles. No team scores will be allotted and wins only count for individual records.
