In singles, Bradley opened the match with a 6-3 first set win but quickly found herself down 4-love in the second set. Yuferova then claimed the set 6-3 to force a third and deciding set. Bradley, who had gone to three sets in only three matches prior, was up one-love at the onset but never led again, eventually surrendering the set 6-3 and the match.
The loss, only her second all season, snapped Bradley’s 39-consecutive match win streak and effectively ended her season with a 44-2 mark–a UM single season record.
Bradley closes her singles career at Miami with a 98-17 record, fourth all-time after only three seasons with the Hurricanes.
Yuferova, a freshman, improves to 26-9 and advances to the Round of 16 where she will face Southern California’s Lindsey Nelson.
