Men's Tennis Hosts ACC Counterpart North Carolina Sunday Afternoon

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s tennis team will welcome ACC rivals North Carolina to the Neil Schiff Tennis Center Sunday afternoon for a contest slated for 12 noon.
The Hurricanes (9-6, 0-4 ACC) will look to win their third match in as many dates Sunday against the Tar Heels (11-5, 2-1 ACC) after downing Loyola Marymount and Wisconsin in their last two matches.
Fifty-third ranked UNC heads to Coral Gables having edged out NC State, 4-3, Wednesday night in Raleigh to snap a three-match skid.
In singles, the Hurricanes are led by a pair of juniors in Eric Hechtman and Tim Krebs, who have combined for an overall record of 20-6 in dual play.
Hechtman has posted UM’s best record, going 11-2 this spring playing primarily at the No. 3 position while Krebs – ranked 67th nationally in singles – holds a 9-4 mark in dual play.
In doubles play, UM’s duo of Krebs and freshman Vivek Subramanian enter Sunday’s match with a perfect mark of 10-0 in dual play and an unbeaten overall record of 14-0 this season.
Admission to Sunday’s match is free to the general public and students.
