Bradley Tabbed ACC Performer of the Week

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami senior Megan Bradley was selected as the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Tennis Performer of the Week after posting a combined 4-0 record in singles and doubles action it was announced Monday.
Bradley, ranked second in the nation, started the week with a big road win in Tuscaloosa, Ala. at No. 1 singles. The Columbia, Mo. native registered a 6-3, 6-2 straight set victory over Alabama’s Robin Stephenson, who is ranked sixth nationally. In doubles action, Bradley and sophomore Audrey Banada downed the Crimson Tide’s 17th-ranked tandem of Stephenson and Bentley, 8-6. The Hurricanes went on to post a 5-2 win over 34th ranked Alabama.
On Sunday, Bradley gave up just three games en route to a 6-2, 6-1 win over the Hokies’ Anat Elazari in the Hurricanes’ ACC opener against Virginia Tech. At the top doubles flight, Bradley and Banada defeated Elazari and Jessica Long, 8-1 to lead Miami to a 7-0 conference victory.
With the two singles wins Bradley extended her unbeaten streak to 23 matches and improved to 28-1 overall.
Bradley and the Hurricanes are back in action on Monday, March 7th as Miami plays host to Boston College at 6:00 pm to open their eight-match homestand.
