Hurricanes Host Weekend Tilt with UCF, Florida A&M

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s tennis team will host a pair of matches this weekend, taking on in-state rivals UCF and Florida A&M, Friday and Sunday, respectively, at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.

The 53rd-ranked Hurricanes (5-1) enter the weekend slate having won four-straight, including a 6-1 decision over Stetson last Sunday in Coral Gables.

Junior Tim Krebs leads the Hurricanes with an unmarked record of 6-0 in dual play this season, playing at both No. 1 and No. 2 singles.

Fellow classmate Eric Hechtman is also undefeated in dual play this season, boasting an overall record of 5-0 while playing primarily at the No. 3 spot.

Sophomore Josh Cohen – ranked 54th nationally in singles – enters the weekend with an overall record of 3-2 in singles play this spring.

UM’s tandem of Cohen and Hechtman are ranked 40th nationally in doubles and hold a perfect 3-0 record in dual play.

Friday’s match with UCF (2-5) is schedule for 6 p.m. while Sunday’s match with FAMU (5-4) is scheduled for a noon start. Admission to both matches is free.
