Bradley and Banada Advance to Quarter Finals of the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships

Ann Arbor, Mich. – Miami’s No. 28 ranked doubles duo of Megan Bradley and Audrey Banada advanced to the Quarter Final Round of the 2004 ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships at the University of Michigan Varsity Tennis Center Thursday. Bradley also advanced to the Round of 16 in singles action.

The Bradley/Banada tandem defeated New Mexico’s Iva Gersic and Maja Kovacek, 8-3, Thursday morning to improve their record to 9-0. The Hurricanes will face Notre Dame’s Catrina and Christian Thompson in the Quarter Final Round Friday morning.

Bradley, the tournament’s third seed, overtook UCLA’s Daniela Bercek, 6-4, 6-3, Thursday afternoon to advance to the Round of 16. She improves her record to 15-1 in fall play. Bradley will play the winner of the Margarita Karnaukhova (Sacramento State) vs. Kendra Strohm (Texas) match Friday morning.
