Hechtman Falls in Second Round of ITA All-American Championship Qualifying Tournament

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Junior Eric Hechtman of the University of Miami men’s tennis team was eliminated in the second round of the 2004 Icy Hot/ITA All-American Championship qualifying tournament Tuesday, falling in straight sets to Brett Ross of Wake Forest at the Champions Club in Chattanooga, Tenn.

A day after upending Jerry Makowski of Texas A&M in the opening round, Hechtman came up short losing 6-1, 7-6(3) to Ross in the round of 64.
