2004 Football Practice Schedule

The Miami Hurricanes will begin practice on August 10 as they prepare for their inaugural season in the Atlantic Coast Conference. PLAYERS REPORT
All players will officially report for preseason practice on Monday, August 9. Freshmen will report beginning at 9:00 a.m., at which time they will undergo physicals, check out equipment and check into dorm rooms. The UM SID Office will arrange interviews and photo opportunities with several freshman players during this time. Media should report to the SID Office for interviews on this day.
LOCATION
All practices will take place at the Greentree Practice Fields adjacent to the Hecht Athletic Center. All media covering training camp are advised to park in metered parking along San Amaro Drive in front of the Hecht Center. The media workroom is located in the tennis facility directly east of the Sports Media Relations offices.

Monday, August 9 Newcomers report 9:00 a.m., returnees report at 3:30 p.m.
Tuesday, August 10 Practice at 3:30 p.m.
Wednesday, August 11 Practice at 3:30 p.m.
Thursday, August 12 Practice at 3:30 p.m.
Friday, August 13 Media Day from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon; practice at 3:30 p.m.
Saturday, August 14 Practice at 3:30 p.m. (first practice in full pads)
Sunday, August 15 Practice at 3:30 p.m.
Monday, August 16 Practices at 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Tuesday, August 17 Practice at 3:30 p.m.
Wednesday, August 18 Practices at 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Thursday, August 19 Practice at 3:30 p.m.
Friday, August 20 Practices at 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Saturday, August 21 Practice at 3:30 p.m.
Sunday, August 22 No practice
Monday, August 23 Practices at 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Tuesday, August 24 Practice at 8:30 a.m.
Wednesday, August 25 First day of classes, players off

Media can attend complete practices from August 10 through August 20, which is when practices are open to the public. Beginning August 21, regular media policies will take effect (media allowed to watch the first 30 minutes and final 15 minutes of practice).
