Megan Bradley Advances at NCAA Singles Championship

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-University of Miami women’s tennis junior Megan Bradley (Columbia, Mo.) advanced to the Round of 32 at the 2004 NCAA Singles Tennis Championship in Athens, Ga.

Bradley seeded No. 6 in the singles bracket beat Erin Burdette of Stanford in straight sets 6-3, 7-6 (4) in the opening round of the tournament Monday afternoon at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on the campus of the University of Georgia.

She advances to face Katie McGaffigan of Wisconsin Tuesday at Noon. The match can be followed live at georgiadogs.com.

Bradley, ranked No. 4 in the nation, enters the match with a 23-2 dual record and a 34-5 overall record.

McGaffigan ranked No. 73 knocked off No. 35 Danielle Wiggins of South Carolina in three sets 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 Tuesday afternoon.
