CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The No. 22-ranked University of Miami women’s tennis team cruised to a 7-0 victory over visiting West Virginia in its season opener Sunday afternoon at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
The Hurricanes (1-0) improve to 5-0 all-time versus the Mountaineers.
Miami swept through doubles play winning all three matches taking the 1-0 advantage into singles.
The Hurricanes dominated singles play winning all six matches in straight sets.
Miami returns to action hosting No. 68 FAU Friday at Noon at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
