No. 35 Men's Tennis Hosts FAU

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The No. 35 ranked University of Miami men’s tennis team hosts Florida Atlantic University 6 p.m. Friday at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.

The Hurricanes (1-0) are coming off a 4-3 victory over No. 38 SMU Sunday afternoon. FAU (0-1) lost its season opener 6-1 to Northwood University.

Miami leads the all-time series 10-1 over the Owls. UM beat FAU 7-0 last season in Coral Gables.

The Hurricanes return four players from last year’s 13-8 club that advanced to the NCAA tournament for the seventh consecutive season.

All four returning players are sophomores, Eric Hechtman (Miami, Fla.), John Hoyes (Miami, Fla.), Tim Krebs (Eschborn, Germany) and Colin Purcell (Louisville, Ky.).

Miami also added three talented newcomers to the lineup, including Josh Cohen (Weston, Fla.), Jeremiah Fuller (Emmaus, Pa.) and P.J. Passalacqua (Naples, Fla.).
