Men's Tennis At South Regional Championships

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-Josh Cohen (Weston, Fla.) and John Hoyes II (Miami, Fla.) advance to the Round of 32 at the ITA South Regional Championships co-hosted by the University of Memphis and the Racquet Club of Memphis.
No. 99 Cohen earned a bye in the first round and defeated Jordan Dolberg of Florida 6-1, 6-1 in the second round. He will face No. 2 ranked Bo Hodge of Georgia Saturday at 9 a.m.
Hoyes defeated Sanzaruz Zaman of UAB in the first round 6-4, 6-4. He then knocked off No. 35 Matt Lockin of Vanderbilt 6-3, 7-6 (4) in the second round.
Hoyes will face Lee Walker of Memphis Saturday at 10:15 a.m.
Eric Hechtman (Miami, Fla.) won his first round match over Zakaria Bahri of Murray State 6-0, 6-3 before losing to No. 9 Jesse Witten of Kentucky 6-0, 6-2 in the second round.
