Men's Tennis Advances At All-Americans

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-University of Miami men’s tennis freshman Josh Cohen (Weston, Fla.) will advance to the qualifying bracket of the Icy Hot ITA All-American Championships in Chattanooga, Tenn. after winning his singles match Monday morning.
Cohen has won five matches in a row, beating Catalin Bradu of Central Florida in straight sets 6-4, 6-3 in the final round of pre-qualifying bracket.
Cohen is one of eight players from the pre-qualifying bracket that will advance to the qualifying bracket where he will face Adrians Zguns of Arkansas at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
Sophomore Tim Krebs (Eschborn, Germany) won six matches in a row, including four in the All-American tournament before falling to Evgheni Corduneau of UL-Lafayette in three sets 0-6, 6-1, 6-3 on Monday. Krebs leads the team with a 9-3 fall record.
Krebs will team with sophomore Colin Purcell (Louisville, Ky.) to face Nic Beuque and Jeff Das of San Diego in the opening round of the qualifying bracket Tuesday at Noon.
Krebs and Purcell are 7-2 on the season in doubles play.
