Coral Gables, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) — This past June 2003, a band new, state-of-the-art electronic scoreboard was added to the Neil Schiff Tennis Center. Considered one of the best collegiate tennis facilities in the nation, the Neil Schiff Tennis Center houses 16 courts individually lit by eight low-mounted halogen lights.

The eight varsity courts are flanked on two sides by seating for more than 1,000 spectators, including 144 shaded courtside chairbacks. Each court is designed for open spectator access with spacious walkways that allow a clear view to every court in use during a match.

A tennis house is adjacent to the courts and includes a reception area, offices for the men’s and women’s tennis coaches, and a plush second floor VIP/ Players’ Lounge that is complete with a large screen TV and three tinted glass walls for viewing matches in air-conditioned comfort.
