No. 27 Men's Tennis Falls To No. 9 Duke

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The No. 27-ranked Miami men’s tennis team fell 6-1 to No. 9 Duke Sunday afternoon in its regular season finale.
The Hurricanes wrap up the regular season with a 12-7 record while the Bluedevils improve to 17-5 overall.
The Hurricanes honored graduating senior Andrew Golub (Miami, Fla.) prior to the match.
Freshman Colin Purcell (Louisville, Ky.) recorded UM’s only point on the day, beating Jason Zimmermann in straight sets 6-1, 7-5 at No. 4 singles.
No. 22 Todd Widom fell in three sets to No. 30 Phillip King 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1 singles.
Miami will host the BIG EAST Tournament April 25-27 at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
