The University of Miami Hurricane Football Locker Online Auction ended on March 12, 2003 at noon. Proceeds will go towards the Football Locker Room Improvement Project.

The top fund-raising locker, with a final bid of $1,025, was locker #11 used most recently by Ken Dorsey. Other top fund-raisers were lockers #1 ($750), #88 ($700), #76 ($675) and #2 and #5, which sold for $650 each. These are the actual lockers from the team’s Hecht Athletic Center facility.

Winning bidders will be notified this week regarding payment and distribution. Forms of payment accepted: AMEX, Visa, MC, check (to University of Miami). A 7% sales tax will be applied. Winning bidders who need shipping information should click here.

The Football Locker Room Improvement Project is set to begin this summer. The project will include 107 new maple player lockers, 36″ wide X 24″ deep X 88″ high; 4 double display cabinets; 4 tape benches; 20 coach lockers, 30″ wide X 24″ deep X 84″ high. The estimated cost of the project is $175,000.
