Men's Tennis Hosts UM Spring Fling

Coral Gables, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami men’s tennis team prepares for the 2003 spring season as they host the UM Spring Fling this weekend beginning Friday, Jan. 10 at 10 a.m. in the Neil Schiff Tennis Center on the UM campus.

The Hurricanes are led by new head coach Bryan Getz and All-American Todd Widom, who is ranked in the top 10 in the 2003 preseason polls. Teams participating in the Spring Fling include Central Florida, Clemson, host-school Miami and William & Mary.

Miami will take the court to face William & Mary on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 2 p.m. The Hurricanes will have a double-header on Sunday as they play Central Florida at 9 a.m. and Clemson at 5 p.m.

Each of the hidden dual matches will count against individual player records, but will not be included in the school’s overall season record.

The Hurricanes will officially kickoff their spring season when they host Florida Atlantic on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 6 p.m. at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.

Saturday, Jan. 11
Clemson vs. UCF- 9 a.m.
Miami vs. William & Mary – 2 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 12
Clemson vs. William & Mary – 9 a.m.
Miami vs. UCF – 9 a.m.
Miami vs. Clemson – 5 p.m.
