Soccer Heads To FSU Invitational

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The Miami women’s soccer team opens the 2002 travel schedule in Tallahassee, Fla. participating in the Seminole Invitational this weekend.
The Hurricanes (2-0-0) will face Louisiana State (1-0-0) Friday at 4:30 p.m. and Missouri (1-1-0) Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
Miami enters the contest after defeating Stetson 7-0 and South Florida 5-1 last weekend. The matchup between Miami and LSU will mark the first time the teams face each other.
The Tigers opened the season by shutting out Stephen F. Austin 2-0.
Sophomore Britney Butcher (Bothell, Wash.) leads Miami and the BIG EAST with six goals and 12 points.
Freshman Lindsey Yach (Carrollton, Texas) ranks second on the team and the conference with four goals and eight points, while sophomore Anik Huffman (Winter Park, Fla.) leads in assists with three.
