Women's Tennis To Face Notre Dame In BIG EAST Title Match

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The second-seeded University of Miami women’s tennis team advanced to its 11th straight conference final with a 4-0 sweep over No. 3 Virginia Tech in the semifinal round of the 2002 BIG EAST Women’s Tennis Championships.

The Hurricanes’ (12-6), who have won six BIG EAST titles since joining the league in 1991, will face Notre Dame for the BIG EAST Championship for the seventh straight season on Sunday beginning at 9 a.m. at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center in Coral Gables. Admission is free.

Top-seeded Notre Dame defeated fourth-seeded Boston College, 4-1, to advance to Sunday’s final.
