Women's Tennis Set To Face FIU

Coral Gables, Fla.- – The No. 38 University of Miami women’s tennis team looks to extend its four-game winning streak as they face No. 32 cross-town rival Florida International on Wednesday, February 12 at 2 p.m. at the University Park tennis courts on the FIU campus.
The Hurricanes remain undefeated, 4-0, on the season after defeating No. 48 Mississippi State 6-1 last weekend. FIU enters the match with a 4-1 record after also routing Mississippi State 6-1 on Friday.
Miami opened the season with an impressive 5-2 victory over Florida Atlantic. Miami, led by sophomores Sara Robbins and Sihem Bennacer, then defeated Barry University 5-2. The Hurricanes improved to a perfect 3-0 after defeating No. 25 South Alabama 4-3.
Miami was scheduled to play No. 3 Florida on Saturday, Feb. 9, but the match was cancelled due to rain and is rescheduled for March 6, 2002.
