Sophomore Mari Toro and Senior Marcy Hora are ranked in the top 100 by the ITA.

Coral Gables, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – – Sophomore Mari Toro and Senior Marcy Hora of the University of Miami women’s tennis team are ranked in the top 100 in singles and doubles play by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Toro (Miami, Fla.), who finished the Fall season with an impressive 11-5 singles and doubles record, received a No. 69 national ranking. Hora (Delray Beach, Fla.), who finished Fall action with a 5-3 singles mark and a 10-4 doubles record, is ranked No. 104.
Miami’s top doubles tandem of Toro and Hora, who finished with a 10-4 doubles record, are also ranked No. 55 in doubles play.
Additionally, the Hurricanes have five players ranked in the South region. Toro leads the team ranked No. 14 in the region. She is followed by Hora ranked No. 21, sophomore Sihem Bennacer (Algiers, Algeria) ranked No. 26 and freshman Staci Stevens (Hammond, La.) No. 28. The doubles duo of Toro and Hora are also ranked No. 9 in the South region.
