Men's Tennis Travels To The Bulldog Scramble

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The Miami men’s tennis team will conclude fall play this weekend as they travel to Athens, Ga. to compete in the second-annual Bulldog Scramble Nov. 2-4 at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
Teams participating in the tournament include, host Georgia, Mississippi State, Florida and Baylor.
The format will be the same as last year, where all five teams will play in a round robin format and individual results are recorded, but no team scoring.
All five teams finished the 2001 season ranked in the top 35, including three in the top 15, No. 1 Georgia, No. 11 Miami and No. 14 Mississippi State.
Both Georgia and Mississippi State have more than one singles player ranked in the top 35 of the ITA preseason national rankings.
Miami will begin play at 9:30 a.m. Friday morning facing host Georgia.
