Miami Downs Michigan

Coral Gables, FL – The No. 22-ranked University of Miami men’s tennis team defeated the No. 35 ranked University of Michigan 7-0 Friday night at the Neil Schiff Tennis Complex.

Miami improves to 8-1 while Michigan slips to 5-4 on the season.

No. 1 singles Michael Lang, led Miami by defeating Michigan’s Henry Beam 7-5, 6-2. Tomas Smid teamed up with Peter Hoffman to down Beam and Dan McCain in No. 1 doubles play and then in No. 2 singles Smid defeated Michigan’s Ben Cox 7-5, 6-0.

The No. 22-ranked Hurricanes return to action against No. 33-ranked Clemson University on Sunday, March 4 at 12:30 p.m. at the Neil Schiff Tennis Complex.
