No. 20 Men's Tennis Defeats No. 75 Wisconsin

Coral Gables, FL – The 20th-ranked University of Miami men’s tennis team improved to 4-0 on the season with a 6-1 win over No. 75 Wisconsin at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center in Coral Gables, FL.

Miami jumped out to an early 1-0 lead by winning all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point.

The Hurricanes then received straight-set singles victories by Michael Lang at No. 2 singles, Jose Lieberman at No. 5 singles and Andrew Golub at No. 6 singles to clinch the match.

UM rounded out its scoring as Johan Lindqvist came from behind to defeat Dustin Friedman 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 at No. 3 singles and Tomas Smid won in three sets at No. 4 singles.

The Hurricanes return to action on Sunday, February 11 against North Carolina State starting at 12:30 p.m. at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center. Admission is free.
