Men's Tennis Wraps Up Day One Of The Rolex Region III Championships

CORAL GABLES, Fla.–Michael Lang won two matches for the University of Miami men’s tennis team in day one of the Rolex Region III Championships in Athens, Ga. Thursday night.

Lang defeated Demetris Leontis of Georgia in three sets, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 before downing Kristopher Stahlberg of Mississippi 6-1, 6-2 in round two. He will face the #12 seed Christian Thall of South Alabama Friday morning.

Jose Lieberman defeated Ryan O’Keefe of Georgia Southern 6-4, 7-6 (3) before falling to the #4 seed Mark Kovacs of Auburn.

Play will resume Friday morning and continue through Sunday.
