18th-Ranked Georgia Shuts Out UM Men's Tennis

ATHENS, GA – The 18th ranked University of Georgia men’s tennis team won eight singles and four doubles matches versus the 24th ranked Hurricanes during the first day of competition at the On The Border Challenge being held in Athens, GA.
The three day event features Clemson, Mississippi State and Texas as well as Miami and host Georgia. The tournament format consists of round robin team competition with only individual results being scored. No team scores are kept.
Miami returns to action on Saturday with singles and doubles competition versus Texas at 9:30 a.m. followed by singles play against Clemson at 3:30 p.m.
