Q: Hey Dre,
I live pretty much in the heart of Tide/Nole Country, and I’m sick of all these people dissing my team, I’ve been a Cane fan ever since my 1st game in 1980, against the Gators. I just wanted to let you know, there are some Cane fans here, and a lot of bandwagon jumpers. I know things are starting to get back in line for a title run. Just want to know, how do you feel about being a senior, knowing this could be your last chance at a title run? Last but not least, is their a moment or game that stands out in your mind, as a defining moment in your years with the Canes? Thanks for being a Cane Dre, you, and Santana & Co., are animals. Good luck this year dude!!!!
A: Patrick,Keep rooting us on man, we need more true fans like yourself. This is the Hurricaneseniors’ last shot at a title, so we will be competing extra hard to get itdone for our fans and our city. The defining game in my Miami experiencewas the UCLA game in 1998. No one gave us a snow balls chance, but westepped it up and played like ‘Canes…That was a good day.

Q: Hey Andre, I wrote you before but you didn’t answer my question. How does being married affect your game? Please answer my question this time. I’m a big fan. I go to all the games.
A: Mica,
Is this the Kamica Jones? (ha ha) Well being married doesn’t affect mygame, but it does allow me to play better because it pushes me to play well for myfamily. Football and school take up a lot of time, so in the off-season Ihave to be a dedicated family guy. You know. Thanks for you question and Iam sorry I did not get your first one.
Take care ‘Cane fan.

Q: Wuz up Andre. I am also from Jamaica. My question is how much do you go back to Jamaica and have you ever spoken to Rohan Marley about your experience at UM? I am from Spanish Town, St Catherine, Job Lane. Where in Jamaica are you from?
A: Judoni, What a gwan yaaaadi? I try and go back during Christmas but we are usuallyon our way to a bowl game then, so maybe next spring. I grew up with my uncle andgrandma in Mountain View in downtown Kingston and with my auntie inBridgeport, St. Catherine…right across the street from the post office. I saw Rohan last year at practice, a cool guy that you know.Take it easy.

Q: Is it really true that you recently scored below 100 in golf? I hear you’re becoming quite a golfer and I would enjoy playing with you sometime. Maybe it’s time to become a 3-sport athlete instead of just a 2-sport star. What do you think?
A:Brian,You are such a clown! For those out there Brian is a childhood friend ofmine who taught me how to play the outfield in baseball. If it wasn’t forBrian I probably would not have gotten drafted by the Atlanta Braves. Brianalso shoots in the 70’s in golf, so guess who is going to help me with mygolf game? You got it!
Take care man, enjoy.

Q: Hey Andre!
I was wondering who is going to be the main man at running back this year? I am also wondering who is going to replace Nate Webster at linebacker?
A: Hi Michael, This is probably one of the deepest positions on our team. There will beheated compition for playing time in the backfield in training camp. It shouldbe fun to watch. As for Nate’s position, we have some eager young guns whoare ready for duty.

Q: Hi Andre, I know the offense will be explosive, but when the game is down to crunch time the defense must step it up. Can this year’s defense stop FSU and Virgina Tech in the fourth quarter and why? Also, what effect is the unfortunate loss of Nate Webster to the pros and Dan Morgan’s new middle linebacker position going to have on the team?
A: Roy,
We all know that losing Nate was big, but this will give guys such as ChrisCampbell, Howard Clark or even some of the new guys a chance to step up andcontribute.
