Men's Tennis Moves Into BIG EAST Semis

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s tennis teamdefeated Providence 4-0 Friday to advance to the semifinals of the BIG EASTTennis Championships held at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center in Coral Gables.

Miami, the tournament’s No. 1 seed, will play fourth-seeded WestVirginia Saturday at noon. West Virginia advanced with a 4-1 victory overfive-seeded Rutgers.

No. 2 Notre Dame and No. 3 St. John’s also advanced and will faceoff Saturday at noon. Notre Dame defeated No. 10 Georgetown, 4-0, in thequarterfinals while St. John’s knocked off sixth-seeded Connecticut, 4-1.
