No. 16 Northwestern Downs Hurricanes

Evanston, IL – The 16th-ranked Northwestern University women’s tennis team (17-4) defeated No. 43 Miami (9-11), 7-1, at the Vandy Christie Tennis Center in Evanston, IL.

The Hurricanes received their lone win at No. 6 singles where senior Eva Jimenez (Madrid, Spain) defeated Jennifer Lutgert, 6-2, 6-3.

Miami returns to action this weekend at the BIG EAST Tennis Championships, April 20-23, at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center in Coral Gables. Play begins at 9 a.m. and admission is free.
